1. Overview
Zynth Tweaks ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to operate the service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication provider (Google or email/password). If you use Google sign-in, we receive your Google profile name and email.
Profile Data
You may optionally provide a first name, last name, username, and avatar image. Avatars are resized client-side before being stored.
Subscription Data
If you purchase a premium plan, we store your plan type, subscription status, and purchase source (e.g., PayPal). We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or PayPal credentials. Payment processing is handled entirely by third-party providers.
Technical Data
The desktop application communicates with our backend to verify license status and check for updates. These requests include your authentication token and basic request metadata (IP address, user agent). We do not collect hardware identifiers, system configuration details, or browsing history.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To verify your identity across the website and desktop application.
- License Validation: To confirm your premium status when the desktop app requests it.
- Account Management: To display and let you edit your profile information on the dashboard.
- Support: To respond to support requests tied to your account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and database hosting.
- PayPal: Subscription billing and payment processing.
- Netlify: Website and serverless function hosting.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account through the dashboard, your profile data is removed from our database. Note that active subscriptions must be cancelled separately with the billing provider.
6. Data Security
All communication between the client and our servers uses HTTPS. Authentication tokens are short-lived and issued through Firebase Authentication. We follow standard security practices for data storage and access control.
7. Cookies
We use Firebase Authentication which stores a local session token in your browser's storage. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and view all data we store about you (visible on your dashboard).
- Correct your profile information at any time.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Request a copy of your data by contacting support.
9. Children's Privacy
Zynth Tweaks is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
